This new carbon regulation is the first-ever national industrial carbon pollution standards for power plants and this are a critical first pace in protecting the health of every individual.
We all know, if not most of us are aware that carbon pollution causes climate change that makes the atmosphere warm partly and rapidly and the rising of temperature prompt a host of environmental changes that affect health and even our nature. Reducing carbon emissions is important, but carbon offsetting projects such as afforestation and reforestation are equally important to preserving the atmosphere and global environments.
This new EPA standard helps protect each and every one of us from the health threats worsened by carbon-fueled climate change, including the children, elderly, and people with chronic heart or lung illness.
Aside from protecting the health of the public, the new carbon pollution standard will also impulse innovation in clean technologies and create good jobs.
